hoochie mama shrimp


our version of classic New orleans bbq shrimp


ingredients

1 lb raw, tail-on, regular peel shrimp

1 Tsp Andor Peppers Smoked spice mix

1/3 cup salted, sweet cream butter

1/3 cup orange-based mojo

1/3 cup grapefruit juice

1/3 cup andor peppers hot sauce

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 lemon, sliced

fresh cilantro, minced (to taste)

1 french baguette

1.   in a slow cooker, add first 8 ingredients and cook on high for 1 hour, then turn to low

2.   slice and toast baguette

3.   serve shrimp in an appetizer bowl pouring a few spoons of Hoochie Mama sauce (from slow cooker) on for dipping

4.   add a few toasted baguette slices

5. sprinkle with minced cilantro

*Regular peel shrimp can continue cooking on low or warm for several hours or until eaten. if using deveined, ez peel shrimp remove from slow cooker and serve immediately. for a bit less heat add 2 tbs brown sugar or cocktail sauce when cooking.*
